This firmware can be loaded on autoloaders or AutoPrinters using a Prism Plus! Printer or on a stand-alone Prism printer. The CD Printer, which uses thermal transfer technology, has the best results on smooth media that is neither porous nor ink jet printable. The best media are lacquer and thermal white coated.What kind of maintenance does the printer require? Maintenance is generally limited to replacing the print ribbon and cleaning the print head with each new ribbon. The print head generally needs to be replaced every 10,000 full cd printings.What print ribbon do I use for lacquer, matte, or white-coated media? All of our print ribbons are multi-purpose. All you need to do is select the color.What ribbon colors are available?
How many CDs can I print per ribbon? Approximately 2,100 to 40,000 CDs per single-color ribbon. The quantity will vary according to the size of what you are printing (because of the ribbon saving feature) on the CD, and whether you have selected single-pass or double-pass printing. What is the warranty on the printer? There is a 1 year warranty for standalone printers that includes depot repair, and the repair or replacement of any defective non-consumable parts. CD Designer - provides users the ability to create, import, and customize graphics for printing on your disc surface. Features include Simple drag-and-drop operation, Add graphics, text, objects, and photos from nearly any source, Supports mail merge fields from external data files, includes examples and templates.
QuickDisc - allows operators to assemble and submit projects to the Catalyst system. Features include Simple drag-and-drop operation, Supports CD, DVD, and Blu-ray Disc printing and recording, Prepare, submit, schedule and monitor job status, and Save projects for use in the future.
WebQD - a thin client software allowing any computer with a supported web browser to submit jobs (Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari).
WebRSM - provides access to all Rimage systems on the network, allowing a single operator to control multiple Rimage 6000N's from anywhere on the network.
Production Server - enables asynchronous control of burning, printing and robotic movements, plus the staging of projects. Includes a log file to monitor job progress, pending jobs, completed jobs, and canceled jobs. Enables the bulk read feature which allows a stack of discs to read and be saved automatically.
